Investment Analyst

We are looking for a structured and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to focus on the securement of third-party project finance and equity investments. We currently have a large pipeline of projects waiting to be realised, so we have a lot of work to do and are looking for a dedicated candidate to join us in the daily work to make an impact that matters.

Your team

You will join the Investment department and report to Executive Vice President, Christoffer Larsen. The department is currently made up of five dedicated employees and works in areas such as Project Finance, Investment and Partnerships.

Better Energy is facing tremendous growth over the coming years and our focus is on securing project financing and equity investments, to keep up with the high demand for solar parks. Our business model covers the entire value chain of adding new green energy to our electricity grids and we do so without government subsidies. This is why an important part of realising our solar parks is the financial aspect and our Investment department is kept busy with many and varied projects.

Job profile

As our Investment Analyst, you will mainly be responsible for structuring and optimisation of financial models and structures. Some of your daily tasks will revolve around identifying commercial risk and opportunities. Other tasks will include:

  • Participate in Investment, project finance and M&A activities
  • Financial modelling
  • Manage and supporting various due diligence tracks
  • Managing loan and/or investment agreements through financial close
  • Commercial assessments and valuation of projects/portfolios
  • Market analysis
  • Preparation of presentation material for management decisions and potential partnerships
  • Transaction project management

  • Thorough understanding of corporate finance

The right candidate also has the following:

  • Master’s degree within finance or similar
  • Advanced user of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Preferably experience with financial modelling from previous jobs.
  • Strong in both spoken and written English
