Accounts Payable Accountant for Better Energy’s Finance department
Better Energy is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented AP Accountant to join the Accounting team in our Finance department. You will be responsible for keeping our creditor master data up to date and handling enquiries from internal and external stakeholders. It is a great opportunity for a part-time position (25-30 hours per week) with a lot of responsibility, in a dynamic and high-growth company that works every day to make an impact that matters.
You will join two dedicated employees in the Accounting team and report to Group Finance Director, Martin Lykke. The Accounting team handles all Danish and Swedish entities, amounting to +180 entities, of which most are project entities with limited activity. The team is part of the larger Finance department, which is a large team of more than 20 employees and we deliver crucial work in all aspects of finance in Better Energy. From financing the construction of solar parks, to securing timely and accurate information that supports the financial decision making in Better Energy. The Finance department navigates a business of increasing complexity and changing environments, so it is a challenging, but exciting place to be.

As our AP Accountant, you will mainly be responsible for making sure that the master data is updated and reliable. You will make sure that our supplier invoices are properly approved in order to secure timely payments, as well as ensuring that expense claims are registered and approved in line with our guidelines.
A lot of your daily tasks will revolve around the comings and goings of the creditor flow and assisting your department with a wide range of accounting tasks.
Some of your daily tasks will include:
- Registration of supplier invoices, including posting and managing the approval flow
- Contact to suppliers and managing internal and external inquiries to our Finance mail
- Managing the creditor files
- Controlling and posting of expense claims
- Bank reconciliations
- Assistance in connection with period end
- Ad-hoc task in the Accounting team

A good candidate for the job should have the following:
- Minimum 5 years of experience from similar position
- Experience with Navision and Continia Document Capture or similar systems
- Strong user in Excel
- High level of proficiency in English and Danish
