Senior People Partner

We are seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Senior People Partner to provide leadership, sparring, and support, linking business, strategy, and people closely together to create meaningful impact in the green transition.

We are looking for a Senior People Partner (senior HR business partner) to join our People department, reporting to the Senior Director of People Partnering. We have offices in Sønderborg, Kolding and our HQ is in Copenhagen, where most of your People colleagues will be working from.

The team currently consists of a Lead People Partner and a Senior People Partner reporting to the Senior Director of People Partnering, and we are looking to add one more colleague.

How you will make a difference in Better Energy

As a Senior People Partner, you will provide sparring to our EPC and Operational Management departments located in both Sønderborg and Copenhagen. In total, the EPC and Operational Management departments currently consists of 160 employees and they are growing. You will work closely with the top-level management.

In this role, you will be a key driver in shaping and implementing HR strategies that align with our business goals. Given our scale-up status, you'll have the exciting opportunity to contribute to the establishment of HR processes and procedures, ensuring our talented team is supported, engaged, and empowered for success.

We recognise the crucial role you play in scaling up our business and navigating challenges associated with the rapid growth of the company.

Your great colleagues in the People department are ready to support you in your role as a Senior People Partner.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide proactive guidance and support to leaders in bridging the gap between business and people.
  • Offer guidance on various topics, including employee satisfaction, motivation, performance, prioritisation, work environment, workload, retention, and succession.
  • Assist in change leadership and communication during organisational transitions.
  • Facilitate team collaboration and development initiatives.
  • Utilise data and analytics for fact-based guidance and leadership training.
  • Develop team structures, outlining clear roles and responsibilities, and provide support through motivational communication to leaders and employees.
  • Lead strategic and ad hoc recruitment processes as needed.
  • Support annual processes such as Better Energy Dialogues, Pulse checks, and salary reviews.
  • Identify competence gaps and recommend relevant competence development activities.

You will participate in monthly leadership department meetings with relevant People topics such as collaboration, motivation, workload, and Pulse checks. Your role requires business trips to mainly between the Sønderborg and Copenhagen office approximately 2-3 times a month.

So, Who Are We Looking For?

An experienced Senior People Partner with:

  • Business acumen, to translate organisational strategy into effective people strategies.
  • Experience in fostering employee engagement, implementing retention initiatives, and contributing to succession planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in organisational design and the development of competencies to enhance overall workforce effectiveness.
  • A Master’s degree in HRM, business administration, economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English and Danish.
