    Arla and Better Energy sign record green PPA on four solar parks

    Four new solar parks will cover about one third of Arla’s electricity consumption in Denmark from 2024. This is the outcome of a new, ambitious collaboration between Arla and renewable energy company Better Energy. The solar parks will produce approximately 250 GWh of green electricity per year. This corresponds to the average annual energy consumption of 156,000 Danes and is thus the largest ever supply of new subsidy-free green electricity through a power purchase agreement from a Danish company.

To ensure that Centrica Energy Trading's electricity consumption is green, the energy trader has signed an agreement with Better Energy regarding the purchase of electricity from a solar park located approximately 40km from Centrica Energy Trading's head office in Aalborg.

    TDC NET signs PPA for four new solar parks

    Denmark’s largest supplier of digital infrastructure, TDC NET, is now taking a decisive step towards becoming a CO2-neutral company as early as 2028. A power purchase agreement (PPA) with Better Energy ensures that capacity from four new solar parks will be added to the grid in Denmark. The solar parks are expected to supply 140 GWh of electricity in 2023, covering about 60% of TDC NET’s consumption.
