We are looking for a Student Assistant to support our PPA team and make an impact that matters.

Better Energy is a leading, integrated solar energy provider with 500+ employees and counting and we are looking for a Student Assistant to join the PPA team in Copenhagen.

You will be part of Better Energy Power, which is responsible for the off-take of green power from our renewable energy assets to corporates, utility companies, and energy traders. The main task of the department is to facilitate long lasting partnerships with our off-takers and to secure the optimal off-take of our generated green power.

Better Energy Power consists of a growing team of more than twenty experts covering all aspects of the power market and you will enjoy a lot of responsibility from your first day. This will give you the opportunity to work first-hand with some of the most experienced people within Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and the power market in the Nordics to provide you with a steep learning curve.

How you will make a difference in Better Energy

The purpose of your position is to support the PPA team with optimising our long-term off-take strategy and revenue streams and to help managing the partnerships with our off-takers. This involves analysing and evaluating different off-take scenarios to boost our growing portfolio of green power as well as providing analytical support for the department and external stakeholders.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Keeping track of and maintaining the overview of our green power portfolio
• Developing models to secure an optimal off-take to support Better Energy’s power sales strategy
• Preparing material for potential PPA partners
• Automating processes to streamline decision-making across the department
• Supporting the strategic decisions needed to optimise our green power portfolio and secure our revenue streams
• Participating in meetings with potential PPA partners
• Ad hoc tasks to support the department

So, who are we looking for?

We find it important that you possess the following competencies:

• You are about to finish a relevant Bachelor’s program or have just started a relevant Master’s program
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Power BI skills
• Experience with modelling and coding in VBA or similar coding languages is an advantage but not a requirement
• Professional proficiency in English (additional language qualifications are also welcomed)
• Great analytical skills and the ability to present key findings in a structured manner
• You have an eagerness to become an energy industry expert
