We are looking for an Investment Analyst to make an impact that matters.

You will be part of the Investments team, which consists of twelve highly motivated, competent, and supportive professionals.

The primary focus of our team is to drive strategic investment decisions as well as manage mergers and acquisitions that align with our commitment to advancing the green transition. This encompasses a wide array of tasks including financial analysis, market research, due diligence, and transaction management, all aimed at enhancing our portfolio of renewable energy projects.

How you will make a difference in Better Energy

Better Energy is facing tremendous growth over the coming years and our focus is on securing and managing equity investments and partnerships to keep up with the high demand for renewable energy. Our business model covers the entire value chain of adding new green energy to our electricity grids and we do so without government subsidies. This is why an important part of realising our projects is the financial aspect and the Investments team is kept busy with many and varied projects.

As Investment Analyst you will be part of Financial Modelling & Automation within the Investments team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the company's investment decisions and strategic financial planning.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Participate in investment, project finance and M&A activities.
• Develop and maintain financial models for project valuation, investment decisions, and reporting.
• Engage in core investment analysis tasks, including commercial assessment of projects, market analysis, due diligence, transaction management, and preparation of presentation material for stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance internal automation tools to support and streamline business processes.
• Manage and optimise our investment database, ensuring data integrity and effective data modelling.
• Create dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders to aid in data-driven decision-making.
• Conduct commercial assessments and valuations of potential projects or portfolio investments.
• Participate in investment, project finance, and M&A meetings, providing technical and analytical support.

So, who are we looking for?

The right candidate has the following qualifications:

• Master’s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, or related field.
• Excellent numerical and data skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Thorough understanding of corporate finance.
• Experience with financial modelling is an advantage.
• Technical skills including Python, VBA, SQL, and Power BI are desirable. Alternatively, a great desire and motivation to learn the skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.

• Strong team collaboration skills, capable of working on large-scale projects.
